    Finding
The MARAD database timeline includes an unexplained February 8, 1996 withdrawal entry. This record uses the original card dates for 1973 sale and physical delivery and does not treat 1996 as a service or disposal milestone.

    Limitations
General ship/era background only, not Alstede-class specifications or a Bald Eagle survey. Does not show that any named product was installed on this hull, that an individual was exposed, or that Bald Eagle was reefed. Tier 2 denotes background evidence only.

    Finding
No direct ship-specific asbestos documentation was located in the inspected MARAD vessel entry, seven displayed status-card images, three attached historical PDFs, NARA ship-index entry, or the bounded official-source web searches recorded in the ledger. CourtListener returned a throttle before providing any search results; litigation coverage remains incomplete.
