It transferred to the Air Force on 15 July 1961, was renamed General Hoyt S. Vandenberg on 11 June 1963, and returned to Navy service as T-AGM-10 in July 1964. DANFS gives 1 July in the Taylor history and 13 July in the Vandenberg entry.
