- Limitations
- Official NHHC text was accessible in the search index, but direct page retrieval returned 404. Dates and complement are transcribed from that indexed text, not a downloaded page. No asbestos information. Complement is not a count of exposed people. See row 03 for the transfer-date discrepancy; DANFS does not establish the 1973 endpoint.

[3]MARAD, BOWLING GREEN VICTORY status card [marad_nrc]
- Locator
- PDF page 1, four custody rows; page 2 is effectively blank
- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- The MARAD status card records delivery from the Maritime Commission to WSA and J. H. Winchester & Co. on 27 September 1945 at San Pedro. It records return to WSA on 5 June 1946 at New York and a same-date bareboat transfer to the War Department. DANFS instead describes transfer to Army Transportation Service in July 1946; these differently described administrative events are retained without equating them.

- Both PDF pages visually inspected. The ditto marks support the same date/place for the War Department entry. Card does not establish when the ship was renamed or entered Army operations; the June/July distinction is unresolved. No materials information.

[4]NAVSEA, Ship History, 28 June 2011 [other_primary]

- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- An indexed NAVSEA Ship History table lists AK 0252, Lt Robert Craig, with Rmvl Date 10-Jul-73 and final disposition MARAD scrap sale. This is a removal-date lead, not verification of the supplied 15 June 1973 out-of-service date.

[5]U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, Shenker v. United States, 322 F.2d 622 (1963), opinion reproduced by Justia [court_record]
- Locator
- Opening factual account; plank/dunnage discussion; paragraph affirming Shenker recovery
- Finding type
- litigation_documented
- Finding
- Shenker v. United States, 322 F.2d 622 (2d Cir. 1963), concerns a stevedore timekeeper who tripped over lumber aboard Lt. Robert Craig in May 1957. The appellate court affirmed his recovery based on unseaworthiness. Classified as other litigation, not asbestos litigation.

- Limitations
- Affirmed recovery relates solely to the trip-and-fall claim; it establishes no asbestos product, exposure or causation. Court text reviewed through a legal opinion repository, not law-firm commentary. Not a CourtListener hit: the separate authenticated sweep was blocked by pacing. No claim made about subsequent proceedings.

[7]Codex, Batch 9544 research and search ledger [other_primary]
- Locator
- search_ledger; research/usns-lt-robert-craig/RESEARCH.md; cl-attempt.txt
- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- No qualifying ship-specific asbestos survey, abatement record, product identification or asbestos case was located in the completed searches logged here. Ship-specific asbestos documentation remains unknown. The CourtListener exact-name attempt was stopped by fleet pacing; the hull-number and remaining litigation searches were not executed.

- Limitations
- Bounded research outcome, not proof of absence of asbestos or litigation. CourtListener is incomplete, not a no-result search. Historical identity records, radiological research and a trip-and-fall decision cannot substantiate asbestos aboard this hull.
