- Lynn collision and salvage paragraphs, following the 28 November 1951 introduction
- Finding type
- vessel_history
- Finding
- In civilian service as Lynn, the vessel sank after a collision with Ventura on 28 November 1951. Crane Ship No. 1, Coast Guard tender Cactus and commercial tug Juno participated in raising the trawler on 4–5 September 1952; the salvors initially brought her to the South Jetty at the South Boston Annex of Boston Naval Shipyard.

- Limitations
- NHHC text was available through the search index; direct page retrieval failed (timeout/502 and local TLS verification failure). This is post-Navy history. It does not establish final disposition after salvage, present location, asbestos content or salvage-worker exposure. Crew and casualty numbers are not used as a wartime complement.

- Locator
- Photograph caption immediately after the YP-389 in-service paragraph
- Finding type
- vessel_history

- Limitations
- NHHC text was available through the search index; direct page retrieval failed (timeout/502 and local TLS verification failure). The caption names this hull; conversion start/end dates and in-service date in the surrounding text belong to YP-389 and are not transferred. Photograph content was not independently inspected. No asbestos scope or material identification is established.

[3]NHHC DANFS, YP-389 [nhhc_danfs]
- Locator
- Paragraphs beginning Reassigned to the local defense forces and Sailing for Norfolk
- Finding type
- vessel_history
- Finding
- YP-388 and YP-389 received orders on 25 May 1942 to leave New London for duty with Fifth Naval District local defense forces warning shipping away from the Hatteras Mine Area. The narrative places both vessels at Sullivan Dry Dock & Repair Co., Brooklyn, and subsequently at Norfolk before orders to Morehead City.

- Limitations
- NHHC text was available through the search index; direct page retrieval failed (timeout/502 and local TLS verification failure). Only statements explicitly concerning both vessels are used. The listed bottom work, battle ports, freshwater tank and ventilation alterations are specified for YP-389, not YP-388. Yard presence does not establish asbestos work or exposure.

- Finding type

- Finding
- No qualifying ship-specific asbestos survey, product identification, abatement record or exposure documentation was located in the official-source passages and public web searches logged for this batch. Asbestos documentation aboard YP-388 / AMc-201 remains unknown.

- Limitations
- A bounded search result, not proof of absence of asbestos or exposure. Official pages were partially accessible through indexed text and NARA underlying records were not reviewed. CourtListener results are treated separately. No class/era asbestos source was established for this hull.

[6]CourtListener API v4, authenticated fleet-paced helper; Batch 1554 search record [court_record]
- Locator
- search_ledger sl-07 and sl-08 (individual hit classifications); research file CourtListener execution and screening table
- Finding type
- litigation_documented
- Finding
- The authenticated CourtListener exact-phrase OR search for USS AMc-201, AMC-201, USS YP-388 and YP-388 returned zero opinions and nine RECAP docket hits (11 documents). Returned docket metadata and excerpts were screened individually: all nine are provisionally classified as name/token collisions; none identifies this hull or establishes qualifying hull-specific asbestos litigation in the material reviewed.

- Limitations
- Counts and returned metadata/excerpts were verified, but full court documents were not read. Collision classifications are provisional where the triggering token was not exposed. W.R. Grace is a claim-transfer notice and is not promoted to hull exposure evidence merely because of the case name. No vessel litigation stage or disposition is assigned. Index results do not exclude unindexed cases, and civilian-name-only litigation was not searched.

[7]NHHC DANFS, Kearsarge II (Battleship No. 5) [nhhc_danfs]
- Locator
- Paragraph beginning The former pre-dreadnaught battleship, in the 28 November 1951 Lynn narrative
- Finding type
- vessel_history
- Finding
- Lynn was a steel-hulled, diesel-powered fishing trawler built in 1941 by Bethlehem Steel at Fore River, Quincy, Massachusetts. NHHC identifies the same vessel as coastal minesweeper AMc-201 and subsequently district patrol vessel YP-388, serving the Eastern Sea Frontier during the Navy period 6 February 1942–15 April 1946. She returned to civilian service after the war.

- Study period
- 1941–1946
- Limitations
- NHHC text was available through the search index; direct page retrieval failed (timeout/502 and local TLS verification failure). The parent article concerns Kearsarge, but this paragraph explicitly names Lynn and both hull designations. The Navy-period endpoints are not independently verified commissioning/decommissioning dates. No asbestos or exposure is documented.
