    Finding
NARA's Ship Plan Index lists CAHUILLA ATF-152 in Record Group 19, Hull Series of Ship Engineering Drawings, catalog identifier 153714226. NARA Special List 44 lists an ATF-152 Cahuilla deck-log interval from 1947-01-10 to 1947-02-28.

    Finding
NARA describes use of asbestos in U.S. Navy materiel during 1941-1961 and directs hull-specific research to Bureau of Ships correspondence, engineering drawings and specifications. This is period context for Cahuilla's 1944 construction, not a finding about the tug.

    Limitations
A bounded public-source search is not proof that asbestos was absent. Underlying NARA drawings, specifications, repair files and logs were not reviewed; Argentine museum material records were not located. CourtListener may remain incomplete if the fleet-wide limiter prevents access. No exposure or causation conclusion follows.
