- General Information Books; Specifications and Standards; Other Records and their usefulness
- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- NARA's Navy asbestos research guide identifies RG 19 auxiliary-vessel General Information Books and ship or component specifications as archival paths for investigating material use. It states that deck logs and muster rolls do not themselves provide direct evidence of asbestos aboard a ship.

- Limitations
- This is a research guide, not a retrieved Contocook file. It neither confirms that a General Information Book or specification survives for AT-36 nor establishes that asbestos was present aboard her.

[6]CourtListener authenticated helper cl-auth-search.py local execution diagnostics, 26 September 2026 [court_record]
- Locator
- search_ledger sl-uss-contocook-at36-05 through -08
- Finding type
- litigation_documented
- Finding
- Authenticated CourtListener v4 exact-name opinion search could not complete because the fleet-wide pacing helper reported its shared request budget momentarily spent before issuing an HTTP request. Exact-name docket and AT-36 opinion/docket searches were consequently not completed. No litigation result classification is available.

- Limitations
- This documents a blocked search, not a negative CourtListener finding. It neither establishes that no litigation exists nor supports an asbestos or exposure allegation. No case-stage classification was possible because no hits were returned.
