    Limitations
Identity history rests on the DANFS-derived Wikipedia transcription; the live NHHC DANFS page was unreachable (HTTP 500) during the research window, so the NHHC primary page could not be confirmed directly. Service detail for 1944-1945 drawn from the public-domain DANFS narrative incorporated in the transcription.

  3. [3]Asbestos-specific sweep across authoritative sources (Navy, NARA, HAER, museum records, VA/BVA decision index), completed 2026-09-25 [other_primary]
    Locator
    Web-source and VA/BVA sweeps, 2026-09-25; BVA 0432454 reviewed and excluded (non-asbestos claim)
    Finding type
    historical_record
    Finding
No ship-specific asbestos documentation located for USS Henrico (APA-45) in any authoritative source searched. No Navy, NARA, HAER, or museum record names asbestos aboard this hull. The one Board of Veterans' Appeals decision located that names this hull (Citation Nr. 0432454, 2004) concerns a claim for service connection for an acquired psychiatric disorder (PTSD), not asbestos, and was excluded from the asbestos record. Ship-specific asbestos status is UNKNOWN.

    Limitations
A negative finding records the state of the searched authoritative sources, not proof that asbestos was absent. Law-firm marketing anecdotes and ship-list pages were excluded as non-authoritative.

  4. [4]CourtListener authenticated search via Studio helper (cl-auth-search.py) - combined name+hull query could not be completed during the writing session [court_record]
    Locator
    Studio helper pacing advisory, 2026-09-25
    Finding type
    litigation_documented
    Finding
CourtListener search for the combined name+hull query "USS Henrico" APA-45 could not be completed during the writing session: the fleet-wide authenticated request budget was momentarily spent and the helper returned a pacing advisory against retrying in a loop. No litigation results exist for this hull in this record; this row does NOT assert zero results.
