DANFS identifies service and yard events, not work packages or materials used during them; no asbestos presence or exposure follows from these events alone.

    Finding
NARA's naval asbestos research guide directs hull-specific research to Bureau of Ships RG 19 correspondence under a ship's hull filing code; for this vessel the 1941 filing manual lists DD336 Litchfield. The guide also identifies specifications and yard records as research paths.

    Limitations
The guide is a research method, not a DD-336 material inventory. The named RG 19 files and shipyard work packages have not been examined, and asbestos aboard this hull remains unknown.

    Finding
NARA describes asbestos use in U.S. Navy materiel during 1941-1961 as a subject requiring complex archival research. Litchfield was in Navy service during 1941-1945, but this general era evidence identifies no material or product aboard DD-336/AG-95.

    Finding type

    Finding
An authenticated CourtListener API v4 opinion-index search for the exact phrase 'USS Litchfield' returned count 0. The exact-name docket and DD-336/AG-95 opinion and docket searches did not reach the API because the required fleet-wide helper reported that its shared pacing budget was temporarily spent.

    Limitations
The zero result applies only to the completed exact-name opinion search. Other indexes and hull-number/alternate-designation queries were not completed; absence of qualifying litigation cannot be inferred. The helper stopped before HTTP on those attempts, and no hit was available to classify.
