[2]DANFS, USS LSM-310 (transcribed and formatted by HyperWar/ibiblio; NHHC live page not located during this research) [nhhc_danfs]
- Locator
- DANFS entry, specification block and service chronology
- Finding type
- vessel_history
- Finding
- The DANFS transcription identifies USS LSM-310, gives its complement as 52, states it was laid down at Pullman Standard Car Manufacturing Company in Chicago and commissioned on 23 May 1944, lists operations at Leyte, Ormoc Bay, Mindoro, Lingayen Gulf, Mariveles-Corregidor, Mindanao, and Balikpapan, and states it was decommissioned at Mare Island Navy Yard on 24 May 1946. It further reports that the vessel was sold to Fairbanks, Morse & Co. on 13 January 1948 for scrapping, but survived as the Columbia River tug Leland James (later Legend) of Tidewater Barge Line.

- Study period
- 1944-1948 and subsequent tug service (end date unspecified)
- Population
- Navy crew; later tug crew (dates and counts not specified by this entry)
- Limitations
- This source is a transcription of DANFS, not a live NHHC page. It documents history and a later tug identity only; it does not document asbestos, present-day location/status, exact laid-down or launch dates, or later disposal. The sale-for-scrapping wording and reported tug survival are both retained as DANFS states them, without reconciling the apparent discrepancy.

- Study period
- World War II production and undated later tug service

- Museum history page, not a Navy or vessel registry record; it gives no dates, current status, or asbestos information. It corroborates only the later tug role and Pullman LSM production at the general level.

[4]CourtListener API v4 exact-phrase and broad-token searches via authenticated cl-auth-search.py helper [court_record]
- Locator
- Search ledger entries sl-uss-lsm-310-lsm310-01 through -08
- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- No ship-specific asbestos survey, abatement record, or hazmat disclosure was located in the material successfully reviewed. This is a limited search result, not evidence that asbestos was absent. Authenticated CourtListener opinion and docket searches for the exact phrases 'USS LSM-310' and 'LSM-310' returned zero results. The unquoted hull-number docket search was too broad to classify: the tokenized query returned 1,122 results and was not treated as evidence about this ship.

- Limitations
- Exact-phrase CourtListener queries returned no result. The unquoted hull-number opinion query returned 23 unrelated opinions, reviewed and classified as name/search collisions; the unquoted docket query returned 1,122 results and remains unreviewed because its tokenized terms are overly broad. This is not a claim that every conceivable litigation source was searched. Firecrawl search/scrape was unavailable because the hosted keyless MCP reported exhausted quota with a 75,662-second retry interval. No asbestos product or ship-specific exposure claim is made.
