    Finding
The live archive page describes Chloris as an Aventinus-class aircraft repair ship (engine) and identifies it as the former LST-1094; says the vessel was redesignated ARV(E)-4 on 8 December 1944, laid down 17 January 1945 at American Bridge Co. in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, launched 21 April 1945, and commissioned as USS Chloris (ARVE-4) on 19 June 1945. It records decommissioning on 18 June 1946, recommissioning on 5 January 1951, final decommissioning on 9 December 1955, and striking from the Naval Register on 1 June 1973. It further reports sale in 1977, renaming MV Avlon, conversion to a Ro-Ro ship in 1979, and final fate unknown.

    Population
Shipyard workers and crew; individual exposure not documented
    Limitations
NavSource is a volunteer-maintained secondary archive and its page links to the NHHC DANFS entry. It is used here as an archival lead; the linked NHHC DANFS page currently returns HTTP 404. Dates and disposition details have not been independently verified against a live official primary record. This history does not establish asbestos aboard or exposure to any person.

    Finding type
    asbestos_application
    Finding
No ship-specific asbestos survey, material schedule, abatement record, or qualifying asbestos litigation document was located in the sources accessible during this session. The asbestos status of this hull remains unknown; no product, quantity, installation, or exposure is asserted.

    Limitations
A bounded negative finding only. Firecrawl search and scrape were unavailable because the keyless service reported a 24,327-second quota lockout. The NHHC DANFS page returned HTTP 404. CourtListener work stopped after its authenticated helper reported fleet-wide pacing was momentarily spent. This is not evidence that no records exist.
