- vessel_history
- Finding
- DANFS states that LST-705 was laid down on 21 April 1944 at Jeffersonville, Indiana, by Jeffersonville Boat & Machine Co.; launched on 7 June 1944; sponsored by Miss Rose Zeller; and commissioned on 4 July 1944. It served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater and participated in the Leyte landings (November 1944), Lingayen Gulf landing (January 1945), and Mindanao Island landings (March and April 1945). After the war it performed occupation duty in the Far East until late February 1946, returned to the United States, was decommissioned on 22 July 1946, and was struck from the Navy list on 25 September 1946. DANFS states it was sold to the Learner Co. of Oakland, California, for scrapping on 8 December 1947. DANFS credits three battle stars for World War II service.

- Limitations
- Official DANFS page was indexed in live web search, but both page opening and direct Studio-side retrieval timed out or failed in this session. Text was taken from the indexed result, so the source page itself was not independently fetched. DANFS does not provide asbestos, crew complement, propulsion, or scrapping-completion details in the retrieved text.

[4]Bounded source and repository search documented in this record's search_ledger; no primary asbestos record was retrieved [other_primary]
- Locator
- See search_ledger entries 01-05 for searched sources, blocked access, and CourtListener stand-down
- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- No ship-specific asbestos application, abatement, survey, or exposure record was located in the sources searched for this record. This is a search result, not proof that asbestos was absent from the vessel.

- Accessed

- Limitations
- Search was limited by Firecrawl keyless quota exhaustion and failed direct DANFS retrieval. No component-level material survey, yard work package, abatement record, or exposure record was examined. CourtListener was blocked by the fleet-wide pacing limiter; it was not a negative search result. No inference is made from vessel type, construction year, or presumed machinery.
