During World War II it served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater and participated in the Leyte landings (October-November 1944), Mindoro landings (December 1944), and Okinawa operations (April 1945). It performed occupation duty in the Far East until mid-April 1946, returned to the United States, was decommissioned on 1946-06-28, and was stricken on 1946-07-31. It was sold to Consolidated Builders, Inc., on 1947-09-17 and subsequently scrapped. DANFS credits it with three World War II battle stars.
