CORRECTION (source defect): NARA still-picture record 80-G-420027 (NAID 520772) is captioned 'Invasion of Inchon, Korea. Four LST's unload men and equipment on beach. Three of the LST's shown are LST-611, LST-745, and LST-715' and dated/produced 15 September 1950 - but LST-745 was decommissioned 9 July 1946, stricken 28 August 1946, and sold to a Baltimore scrapper 26 September 1947. The caption's identification of this hull at Inchon in 1950 is inconsistent with the documented disposition and is treated as a cataloging/hull-number error, not evidence of post-1947 U.S. Navy service.

GAO HRD-80-2 (October 1979) documents Navy-wide use of asbestos insulation in ships and Navy efforts to protect workers at Long Beach and Norfolk Naval Shipyards; records the Navy's 1975 policy (remove/replace only damaged or repair-disturbed insulation) and 1979 modification (selective replacement in high-maintenance areas). Program-level documentation of Navy asbestos practice; predates no part of this hull's service - it postdates her 1947 scrapping and is context for the era's shipboard-asbestos regime only.

Authoritative hull records (DANFS, NavSource, BuShips roster, NHHC fleet-organization list, NARA action report and photo records) contain no asbestos or insulation-material statement. CourtListener could not be searched this session (fleet-shared daily quota exhausted; see search_ledger sl-uss-lst-745-07) - litigation status is an open gap, not a negative result.
