- The DANFS entry states that LST-795 was laid down on 30 July 1944 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by Dravo Corporation; launched on 9 September 1944; and commissioned on 9 October 1944. It served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater, including Iwo Jima in February 1945 and Okinawa from April through June 1945; performed occupation duty in the Far East until mid-October 1945; was decommissioned on 29 April 1946, struck from the Navy list on 19 July 1946, and sold on 31 October 1946 to Suwannee Fruit & S.S. Co. of Jacksonville, Florida.
