It was sold to Dulien Steel Products, Inc., Seattle, Washington, for scrapping on 1947-11-03, and earned three battle stars for World War II service.

- This is a finding aid identifying the date range of available deck logs; it is not itself a deck log and does not establish the ship's daily movements, asbestos conditions, or exposures.

- Finding type
- historical_record
- Finding
- No qualifying primary ship-specific asbestos record was located in the public sources reviewed: no asbestos survey, abatement contract, or hazmat disclosure naming USS LST-999 was found. The CourtListener exact-name and hull-number litigation searches remain uncompleted because its authenticated helper returned a daily-quota stand-down.

- Limitations
- A failure to locate public documentation does not establish that asbestos was absent or present aboard. CourtListener's litigation result is unknown, not a negative, because the helper instructed a 22,027-second stand-down and was not retried. No exposure, causation, or legal eligibility conclusion is made.
