    Finding
Identity packet verdict: PHANTOM — no such vessel ever existed. Hull numbers PG-101 through PG-110 were allocated in February 1942 to ten Canadian-built River-class corvettes transferred to the US Navy; only PG-101 (USS Asheville, ex-HMS Adur) and PG-102 (USS Natchez, ex-HMS Annan) ever entered USN commission (reclassified PF-1/PF-2 on 15 April 1943). The remaining eight, including PG-108, were returned to the Royal Navy under Lend-Lease before entering US service — no USN name, designation, or commission as USS PG-108 ever existed.
