    Finding
NavSource's individual history identifies this hull as YMS-192, later Condor (AMS-5 and MSC(O)-5): laid down 30 September 1942 at Greenport Basin and Construction Co., launched 5 December 1942, and commissioned as USS YMS-192 on 13 June 1943. It reports postwar reclassification and naming as Condor (AMS-5) on 18 February 1947, redesignation MSC(O)-5 on 7 February 1955, March 1955 loan to Japan as Ujishima (MCS 655), return in 1967, striking on 31 March 1967, and sinking as a target in August 1968.

    Population
Construction trades and U.S. Navy crew; no exposure population documented
    Limitations
NavSource is used here for hull identity and chronology corroboration, as directed by the batch brief; it does not document asbestos-containing material, exposure, causation, or legal eligibility. Its reported 1946 decommissioning date conflicts with an NVR-plan date quoted in the same page and is carried as a gap.

    Crew recorded in deck logs
    Limitations
This is an archival-coverage list, not a deck-log transcription and not evidence of asbestos aboard. The listed coverage dates are not commissioning or decommissioning dates; underlying logs require separate retrieval and review.

  6. [6]CourtListener API v4 authenticated search sweep via cl-auth-search.py [court_record]
    Locator
Queries: USS Condor / opinion; USS Condor / docket; YMS-192 / opinion; YMS-192 / docket; limit 20 each
    Finding type
    litigation_documented
    Finding
The required CourtListener sweep was initiated through the authenticated fleet helper for exact-name opinion and docket searches (USS Condor) and hull-number opinion and docket searches (YMS-192), each at limit 20. Results were not returned to this session before the shared fleet pacing queue delayed the requests; no litigation conclusion is drawn.

    Limitations
This row records a pending authenticated research action, not a negative litigation finding. No result set was available to classify as qualifying asbestos litigation, other litigation, name collision, or no result; asbestos-qualified variants were not run because no completed base query showed a 20-result overflow.

    Limitations
A search negative is not proof that asbestos was absent. CourtListener results remain pending because the shared authenticated pacing queue did not return them during this session; this row therefore does not include litigation as a completed negative search.
