What this source does not establish
The filing says 'during 2020' and 'in 2023' — NOT a specific month or day. The widely reported May 2020 announcement date is NOT established by this document. Do not write 'May 2020' on the authority of this filing. The filing gives no reason for the 2020 discontinuation; it does not say it was because of asbestos.
Limitations
Kenvue was J&J's consumer-health spinoff; under the Separation Agreement J&J retained talc liabilities for products sold in the United States and Canada. The identical language appears in the January 4, 2023 Form S-1 (accession 0001628280-23-000234) in the FUTURE tense — 'talc-based Johnson's Baby Powder will be discontinued globally in 2023' — which independently fixes the announcement as preceding the act, and confirms that as of January 2023 the company 'presently sell[s] talc-based Johnson's Baby Powder in certain other markets around the world.'
